Now that the iTouch is available, many people are trying to jailbreak their device (alike the iPhone) so that they can use 3rd party apps and other WiFi features! Now it’s possible to do that, see the below picture to show you evidence of this:

 

We’re not looking at general availability yet, but those happy hacking cats unravelling the iPod touch have decrypted the ramdisk and are now busy installing applications. Already, Mail, Maps, and other 3rd party apps are up and running on their jailbreaked touches. Once we can get a hold of the procedures in unlocking the iTouch we will show you here. Here is a sneak peak of the new Asus R300 GPS navigation system. It’s expected to be available in November in Europe. It will be given two choices of colors: silver or white. Additionally, it’ll be available in silver or white. Asus has included a 1300mah Lion battery which allow users to pack this in their backpacks during off-roading! The Asus R300 has an integrated music / video player and maps covering France. We haven’t heard about other available maps but we’re sure they will be included or downloadable when it gets launched into the North American market.
