Let me blunt for a second.  The SMS.AC service is a pain in the ass! I signed up a while ago, thinking this would be a good thing.  Unfortunately, I never ended up using this service due to excessive fees and membership requirements.

What really irritates me about this service is the 50 cent fee per message. To save myself the added expense, I went to their website to delete my account.  But soon after, I continued to get messages stating that SOME LOSER WHO USES “SMS.AC” WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND” .  Of course, this message still costs me money.

When I go to the website to get into my account to delete my number it says “account has been canceled” or something like that. How can my account be cancelled if they still have my number. Just to the sum up the entire ordeal; if you want to cancel your voluntary or involuntary registration with SMS.AC then YOU MUST do the following:

1. Pick up your phone and call 1-888 -697-6722
2. Ensure you are calling during 8am-4pm (they claim they are 24/7 but you get the voicemail when you call outside of these hours)
3. Press 5 to get a hold of the customer service agent
4. After getting a LIVE operator on the line; tell them what your cell phone number is and tell them you want to cancel your SMS.AC account
5. HOWEVER; if you can only call outside their live operator working hours then leave a voicemail of your Mobile Number and your email account to which your SMS.AC account is registered under and they will email you once they have completed the deactivation of your account.

We hope this helps out because it was NOT easy finding their contact telephone number and even harder to find a live operator to cancel my SMS.AC account. If you find this article useful or know who will find this article useful; PLEASE email or copy and paste our blog and send it to your friends.
