Transporting

Cultural shock occurs when we see an event or behavior different from our own culture. For example, in some parts of the world, it is common behavior for an entire family to ride on a single bicycle or motorcycle. Since I live in Canada, this practice is not only unacceptable, it makes you a laughing stock amongst your peers. Nevertheless, these dangerous forms of behavior have long been accepted in various countries or social circles. In fact, people in the far east love to push the envelope on “safety”. The following photo really shows what I mean.

truck on truck

Count it….TEN trucks! These trucks may lack two front tires and engines but you certainly don’t want to be following this mess while driving uphill.

You know the old saying: “what goes up, must come down”. How are they going to unload these trucks onto the ground without front tires?

I would hate to see the same transport company handle nuclear missiles!

Surf

Is your work or school preventing you from surfing banned sites or hiding your ID? Use a proxy server to get around the problem. A proxy server is a computer network service that allows you to make indirect network connections to other network services. A client connects to the proxy server, then requests a connection, file, or other resource available on a different server. The proxy provides the resource, possibly by connecting to the specified server, or by serving it from a cache. In some cases, the proxy may alter the client’s request or the server’s response for various purposes. Browse the internet securely using popular web proxy services such as EasyFreeSurf.com. You can also unblock popular social networking sites such as MySpace, Bebo, Facebook, YouTube, Friendster and many other sites.

Feel free to check out our list of web proxy service. Don’t forget to tell your friends.

Hello

July 29, 2007 by Leroy 3 Comments »

Hello Kitty is a poor excuse for little girls to pry money away from their parents. Whether its DVDs, lunchboxes or zippo lighters, the infamous cat is plastered everywhere.

I guess Mom and Dad will keep a closer eye on their wallet after seeing this Hello Kitty doll made from 62,000 Swarovski crystals. Imagine little Sally bringing this little monument to school, while dwarfing those tiny lunch boxes or backpacks.

A waste of time and money if you ask me! You’re better off buying batteries from the Gadget Link eBay Store. ;-)
